It’s festival season. You either just got a flutter in your stomach. Or rolled your eyes at the thought of some headband wearing hipster hula hooping in a gold lame American Apparel unitard. We’re caught in the middle. Few things are more invigorating than watching the dusty pink sun set on the palm fringed horizon while sipping a cold beer and listening to a set from your favorite indie band. Until the drink gets warm, the line is too long to get another, and you have to use the porta potty sans TP. Nonetheless, festivals signal summer and boho-fun fashion! Two things we love. This year, we’re stowing the raggy cut off jorts in favor of a chicer dress code – think Bianca Jagger in a flowing maxi dress and turban – or Kate Hudson from Almost Famous in her crochet crop top. We’re bringing back the 70s for our festival rounds! Click below to shop!
This Spring, denim has made a strong resurgance in everything from shirts, to dresses, to printed bottoms. Here’s how we styled our favorite denim pieces:
Left to right: Karen Walker Number One Sunglasses; Equipment Major Blouse; Elizabeth & James Slouchy Knit Tank; girl. by Band of Outsiders High-Waisted Floral Print Skinny Jean; Jenni Kayne Lattice D’Orsay Flat; IRO Regan Jacket; Thakoon Addition Denim Vested Dress; IRO Travis Shirt W/ Leather Detail; Vena Cava Fulque Baseball Tee; Mother The High Waisted Looker Skinny Jean; Rag & Bone Perforated Panel Classic Newbury
Python is the new black, at least according to French favorite line Equipment. We won’t argue that statement though, in fact it got us inspired to create a Spring look of our own:
Alison Mosshart is frequently snapped sporting an Equipment blouse styled in a rocker chic look that’s all her own. That’s the beauty of Equipment – you can interpret their pieces in so many different ways. We’re so obsessed with their campaign collaboration with Alison’s band, The Kills which features Mr. Kate Moss, Jamie Hince. Click below to shop the collection!
