Every June, when summer is ripe as a cherry and full of carefree possibilities, I dream about living the rest of my life in a floral printed caftan with a minimal beauty regime of wavy hair and a dab of cheek bronzer. Beach trips, sunsets and gallons of rose stretch out before me, and I sing to myself, how can it get any better than this?! Then, my August issues start to arrive…Vogue, ELLE, Bazaar…and as I’m tearsheeting head to toe leather looks and fur embellished pieces, that endless summer feeling, well, ends. And all I can think about is fashion week, crisp fall nights and bottles of pinot noir.
