Kova & T

Kova & T is co-designed by childhood friends Dasha Zhukova and Christina Tang, each of whom brings her unique take on fashion to the brand. Inspired by their surroundings (Russia and London, and Los Angeles and China, respectively) as well as their large circle of stylish friends, the ladies of Kova & T cite Carine Roitfeld, Vivienne Westwood and Emanuelle Alt as personal style icons. Each piece is printed with the signature of its designated namesake, an ode to their friends who inspired the designs.

Kova & T is meant to do two things that other clothing lines have long forgotten in their pursuit of grommets and appliqués: high-quality and flattering fit. Nothing detracts from a women's look more than ill-fitting clothing, so the pair set out to design a line of basics that they themselves would wear. Says co-founder Dasha Zhukova, "I never had any intention to be involved in fashion. Then I couldn't find a pair of jeans the way I wanted it, and then I couldn't find a plain white tee exactly the way I wanted it, and so on."
